Hello from western Canada!
« on: 14 Dec 2021, 07:14 pm »
This is my first post here.  Found this forum while searching for info about GR Research speakers.  Long-time hobbyist, speaker-kit builder (I don't have the tools nor the time & patience to design full-range speakers), and I have designed and built several subwoofers.  As per my username, yes, I am a drummer and play professionally.  Fortunately my day job in IT allows me to afford hobbies like this.

Welcome.
From just east of Edmonton, have built many kits from
designers from Audio circle. Over the yrs I have built 3 or 4
GR kits, including the famous OB subs (yes, they live up to the hype)
If shipping costs were reasonable I wouldve built more, they all rock.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome Drumphile!

You've come to the right place for excellent kits and a place of vast amount of knowledge!

I'm from Edmonton as well I have built the X-SLS Encores and just finished up NX-Otica's and H-Frame Duals, all three sound great the Oticas and H-Frame subs are stellar!

Full range speakers is a term used by pro-audio guys for speakers that can delivery 20-20kHz at spence of various xovers and EQ using big enclosures and woofers, its not tremendously useful for home hi-fi.
