As with everything these days, prices on materials, finishes, drivers and other speaker parts have risen this past year. Some rose quite dramatically.
When we take an order, we fix the price at that point in time. But then we are subjected to price increases that wipe out much of our historically thin margins. In the past few months, we have actually lost money on some of the speakers we've shipped. We obviously can't continue doing that.
So we will have no choice but to raise prices on most of our speaker models. These price increases, in most cases, will be at least 10%.
Just thought this information might be useful for anyone anticipating ordering a speaker early next year. You may want to make sure you beat the price increases.
