My family and I love watching movies and really enjoy the audio quality of our SP-3. For the lower end of the audio range we have a Seaton SubMersive with dual 15" drivers.
Several years ago, we were experiencing the SP-3 spontaneously powering off during instances of high subwoofer output. I sent the unit into Bryston for service and they could find nothing wrong with it. They could only recommend a change in the position and mounting of the SP-3. I got a Middle Atlantic 48 unit rack to house the SP-3, Bryston amplifiers and ancillary electronics for our home theatre. I placed the SP-3 on softer feet within the cabinet and the spontaneous power off issue disappeared until this past weekend.
My questions to the community:
1. Has anyone else experienced this phenomena?
2. If so, what did you do to mitigate this?
3. Any other suggestions?
Thanks for reading.
