Greetings from Atlantic Canada
« on: 12 Dec 2021, 09:13 pm »
Hope everyone is doing well.  Stumbled upon AC a while back while searching for info via Google.  Been lurking for some time and figured it's about time to say hello to you.

I've been a long time audiophile but for various reasons haven't been keeping up with it.  It's only in the past few weeks that I've gotten my system up and running again.  It's like reconnecting with a long lost friend!

Looking forward to making up for lost time this winter.

Stay safe!

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome!

We visited the eastern provinces 5 years ago, amazing how each are different.  Am fans of Canada, being from Michigan, we visit often (before Covid).

In recent years we learned to appreciate how the room impacts the sound, the value of loudspeaker directivity, and the wonder of streaming (having access to millions of albums).  Have fun reentering the audio world.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!  Looking forward making new friends over the winter.

Scroof Neachy, sorry, I wouldn't have any idea.  Last time I went to McDonals was about 18 or 19 years ago.  My late wife used to love her Big Macs.  Haven't been there since.

JLM, I've been to all four Atlantic provinces.  Lived in both Nova Scotia as well as Newfoundland.. where I am now.  If you ever get to make another visit, maybe we can arrange a gettogether for lunch/coffee.  I live on the west coast within a 45 minute to an hours drive from a hub.  You would be passing me to get to any other location on the island.  Absolutely beautiful here... especially if you love mountains.
