This advertised phono preamp was built in 1999 and is nowhere as good as our current production Vision Q phono preamp ($499).

The old one is only useful with normal high gain MM cartridges.

Aside the fact that the Vision Q is obviously much more refined and better sounding, it is also fully adjustable for use with any MM or low output MC cartridge.

It can be user adjusted for MC gain and loading and it is amazingly quiet.

If the seller is only down the road from you, contact them to see if you can have a listen that is the only way to know how good it is.

I think Floresjc meant that the seller was just down the road, not us.

Of course floresjc could simply order a new Vision Q phono preamp from us and try it himself. It does have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee (as does all new AVA audio equipment).

Thanks Frank the Vision is high in my Christmas list. I've been using the phono input on my Insight but I really want the dedicated unit.
