Hello everyone,

I have a LCR set of AV123 ELT525C and I would like to experiment replacing the capacitor/bypass capacitor on them but ran into a problem. My multimeter unfortunately does not have capacitance measurement ability (cheapie) and I can't really understand the values on the capacitor when I took the crossover out from the speaker enclosure. Does anyone have any insight on what capacitor values I should be purchasing for these specifically?

Looks like a 4.7uF and a 10uF.

It is a little odd though that the 4.7 is almost the size of the 10.

Is it possible the the J stands for Joules and you would have to use that and the voltage to calculate the capacitance?

The 'J' is a tolerance specification.  J = 5%

Hi everyone. I know this is an old thread but I thought I would pose the question here. I assume that Danny did not design this speaker nor offers upgrades for it that I can see?

It was brought to me and I designed the crossovers for it. That was back in 2008.
