I currently have a pair of Emotiva T1+ speakers, already had the ribbon tweeter replaced twice and just now the woofer is buzzing. I peeked inside and the crossover looks like a hot mess, but I am a rookie. I do have the X-CS on order, awaiting delivery. Is the X-MTM the exact speaker as the X-CS but just in a bigger cabinet? I would not hesitate to buy the X-MTM kit if the X-CS sounds good. I'm 50/50 music / H.T. I am a classic rock guy, seen Blue Oyster Cult 23 times in concert.

The X-CS is the sealed version of the X-MTM towers.
They use the exact same drivers and crossover parts.

The X-MTM are designed to be used in both 2channel and home theater applications.

They will easily hit into the low 30s in most rooms, while the X-CS only play down to about 65-70Hz.
Otherwise, they share the same sound signature.

And considering your taste in music, I think you would have no issue getting lots of enjoyment out of them.

The X-SLS would be a good option, as well as the upcoming replacement for the AV-3 towers which will be a smaller transmission-line version of the X-MTM using our smaller M-130 woofers.
