Sold.  Sold.     $16,300 retail price.  Thanks for looking.

I have owned these for 4 years and we have enjoyed them tremendously. One of the very finest moderate sized, floor standing speakers available. Since I perform upgrades to crossovers and electronics for fellow Aphiles, I took these Epicon 6's as far as I could sonically with some well chosen and executed upgrades. Very high WAF factor with the drivers and cabinet build quality second to none. See the link below for interesting design details of this speaker;

https://www.dali-speakers.com/media/1662/epicon-whitepaper.pdf

The stock crossover came with modest quality parts, being kind, such as Bennic sandcast resistors & Bennic poly cap on the tweeter, an electrolytic cap on the bass and entry level Solen PB caps on the mids. I replaced these parts, EXACT same values all matched within 1%, with the following top quality parts. These parts were chosen based on their ability to let this Dali speaker be all it was capable of being sonically.

Caps - Duelund CAST Sn-CU & VH Audio Odams on the mids and highs, Auydn True copper on super tweeter and Clarity CSA on the bass.

Resistors - Path Audio on highs and mids, Mills MRA on bass

In addition, Perfect Path Audio mats are used inside the crossover sub-enclosures

Parts cost was $1300.

The results were tremendous with the upgraded speaker really singing at least 20% better than stock. Top to bottom improvement in every important sonic parameter. The high quality drivers and cabinet were now really showing off their stuff. The crossovers have their own isolated cavitily located in the bottom of the speaker. Easy to get to and work with.

I have the boxes, grills, spikes, manual and all packing. They are in wonderful condition as the pics show. The only cosmetic issue is located on tbe very bottoms of the speakers where the base screws onto the speaker bottom. A couple of places have small thin pieces of the black composite cracked off. Cannot see this as it is on the very bottom sandwiched between the base and speaker bottom. Non-issue operationally and completely hidden from the eye.

Pet, smoke and child free home. Well cared for and not played very loudly as I prefer 60-75db and get up to 85db when off the leach ?. I have some perfectly sized Townshend Seisimic Bar Pod footers available if the buyer is interested. I will offer the buyer a very good price for the set. They cost $1400.

I much prefer local pick up or I can drive to meet a buyer in the middle if not too far. I am located in the Nashville, TN area. Possible to ship at buyers expense using a freight company.

Only selling to pursue high efficiency speakers which are much more expensive and huge!

My pricing is most attractive and good luck. Thanks for looking

I have heard Bill's work on THE pair of Tekton Double Impacts where he upgraded the crossover, wiring, and a couple drivers--made a good speaker into a super speaker.  I get to continue hearing them as my good friend bought that pair and lives 25 minutes away from me.  Having previously heard both versions of the DI, there is no Tekton DI speaker that is close in sound to what Bill did to this one.  Beautiful work done and I'm sure the Dali's upgrades are done with the same care.  Someone is going to get a beautiful speaker that sounds even better than it looks.  If you want THE finest sounding version of this model Dali speaker, here it is.  Good luck with the sale, Bill.
