Hi, I have been involved in the hobby for a long time, really since I was a kid with my Dad's old Marantz system with AR turntable and AR3a speakers. My current system is a work in progress, with a Garrard 401 turntable, Yamaha A-1000 integrated amp, and DeVore Gibbon 88 speakers. I also have a pair of Thiel 3.7s in hibernation waiting for a move to a larger living space where they can breathe. In parallel I am thinking about new amplification for the Thiels and replacing/retiring the DeVores. In my mind I keep thinking I would like a second of pair for vocals and more intimate listening that are more forgiving than the Thiels, but I also love the details of the Thiels that really bring a great recording to life. These are my current conundrums, and I look forward to discussing and listening with all of you.
