7119 Tubes

I have an opportunity to purchase locally some 7119 NOS tubes for my Modwright 9.0 AE preamp.
They are the Phillips "SQ" variety.
Does anyone have any experience with this particular tube in their Modwright preamp?
This tube is much taller than the standard 5687 so I would like to know if it fits within the case work of the 9.0 AE, the last thing I want to do is make holes in the top of Dan's case work?
According to comments on the net this tube type has a reputation for being microphonic, so should I avoid it?
Thanks in advance for all your helpful comments.

They definitely tend to be microphonic. It's hard to get a good pair for a preamp with gain that don't add noise. They are also learner than the more common 5687 (Tung sol, GE, Sylvania). I personally don't care for them, but......

I use the Amperex 7119, D Getter, Pinched Waist (Late 1950s) in my ModWright Anniversary Preamp.
They show no signs of microphonics and sound
wonderful
. They're not lean.
FAR superior to any 5687 I tried.
They were not cheap!!!
Got them from Andy at Vintage Tube Services.
He will not sell you a microphonic tube.

Thanks for the comment above.
Do they fit inside the 9.0 AE without modification of the case work?

They are good tubes but synergy is key on how they sound with associated equipment.
