best way to sell large collection of audio gear

Hello,

Looking to sell off a large portion of audio collection of gear. Been collecting for 25 years and time to reduce my setups.

What is the best way or sites to use?

Audiogon or eBay

Much larger pools of prospective buyers, especially on the Bay

Unless you are ok with returns and paying return shipping, you should avoid Ebay.  There are people swapping parts and then returning electronics as well.  Stick to the audio forums and US audio mart.

Last time I sold on eBay I came close to owing them after all their fees were included.  :duh: I’d suggest listing items here first. They may not sell all sell immediately, which that may not be the worst thing, giving you time to pack and ship the items.  An ad on USAudiomart would help move the equipment as well. Best of luck however you decide to proceed.

I agree here is good as well as US Audio Mart (which is also free).  You can also go to hifishark.com to see what has been listed as what price (you can filter by region as well as sold and unsold).

Probably had my best luck with USAudiomart. I've had some success here, but I feel USAudiomart sees a lot more traffic. Haven't used Audiogon in years and I've never used Ebay to sell anything.
