I am in the San Francisco area and have been intrigued by the GR NX-Oticas paired with the GR open-baffle subs. I currently have a pair of Vandersteen 2CE Signatures and love them (!!!), but for many years have known my next and final speaker purchase would be open baffle.
I auditioned some Spatial M3 Sapphires last weekend and they were fantastic, but seemed not significantly better than my Vandys. They didn't quite have that WOW that other open baffle speakers have given me in the past. I am planning to audition the Spatial X3's later this month when they are in stock at J&J Audio in San Jose.
But I'm also really curious to actually hear a pair of the NX-Oticas in person if there are any fellow members in the Bay Area who would be so generous as to host a brief audition!
