Hey everybody,
just wanted to pop in and say hi. Finally after years of running like a hamster on a wheel I had time, resources and tools to build myself bunch of speakers. Basically back in 2019 I visited the guy at
www.lautsprecher-berlin-shop.de who demoed bunch of speakers with different driver technologies and I liked AMT the best so I got couple kits from him.
Used 6mm plexiglas cut on a lasercutter at our hackerspace in
https://k-space.ee as templates and then proceeded to cut em' using handheld router from 21mm Baltic birch plywood. I used CNC in previous iterations, but template approach is quicker and I could do most tinkering at home. For finish I used first layer of Osmo 3040 oil-wax which prevents the "permanent wet" look and keeps clean plywood contrast. Then I added another coating of Osmo Topoil for protection.

Since I am a computer guy I originally went with NAD D 3045 amp but the volume knob issue (it turns volume higher by itself) has really turned me away from NAD stuff. Now I have Denon PMA60 powering the speakers on my desk and with Lia AMT-s they sound great. I also have some NAD AV receviver, older analog NAD stuff and Modi 3+ DAC for playing around. I guess I would not consider myself an audiophile, but I'd say I hear things, but not yet ready for a mental institution

Plus I got two of EAD E100HD drivers for which I need to build enclosures as well. Which speaker goes where I don't know yet - need to find a suitable combo for home cinema and something for my computer desk
If anyone could sell me Vidsonix VCB-100 I would be really grateful
