Proceed PMDT

If you like to buy used gear, the Proceed PMDT is a CD/DVD transport (no analog outputs).  It can sometimes be had for as little as $1,000.  As compared to my Pioneer Elite CD/DVD (37A?  38A?  I forget) as transport, the Proceed is way, way better in every way -- as CD transport, DVD picture quality, DVD transport, construction, etc.

I wouldn't but the proceed. We were a dealer for them and we found that their players when they worked were great , but the majority of the time they wouldn't. They were very finnicky on the discs they would play, they would lock up and on some the display board would go out. These are why they can be found on ebay so cheap. You get what you pay for.

A friend of mine has a PMDT. And yeah, when it works, it's great. But it frequently doesn't work. He's also got a Pioneer DV-AX10 (after I showed him mine he had to get one). That equals or slightly exceeds the Proceed in playback quality. And the AX10 will play just about anything you put in, and play it right everytime.
