Audyssey MultEQ Editor app accuracy
« on: 23 Aug 2021, 03:48 pm »
I have a Denon 6500H in a Klipsch speaker environment.  I am slowly removing all of the OEM crossovers and replacing them with GR Research upgrade kits.  Measurements from Audyssey look better but it does not measure again on it's own before spitting out results.  Would running it again serve any purpose or does it remove its "corrections" when running again?

Separately, I have read that using the Audyssey app to not correct after 500Hz "create a curtain" is better as some speakers do not need room correction after that. Is there truth to that or is there just a lot of hype?

Hi I will move this topic to the GR Research Circle,  as You already introduced yourself in 17AUG.

I can help you out with the speakers, but not so much with Audyssey.

Room correction can be of some benefit below 200Hz, but above there it really doesn't work.

To get real balance you will have to work with room treatment to balance out reflections.
