Hi From Michigan
« on: 13 Jul 2021, 06:43 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I’ve been a long time lurker on these forums. I’m looking forward to a more active role.

I’ve been at this hobby for 45 years or so and have more more experience than I do high frequency hearing

All joking aside, I’ve enjoyed almost every type of audio component imaginable over the years. I tend to prefer high efficiency speakers with high quality low powered integrated amps.

I really appreciate the depth of knowledge and positive discourse available on the Circles here, as well as the attention paid to many products that aren’t really reviewed in the mainstream audio press.

Thanks for the opportunity to engage, as I continue my audio journey.

Gary

Welcome Gary from another Michigan old timer!  In 50 years I've been around the block with gear too.

Currently running commissioned modified single driver transmission line loudspeakers, small power amp (temporary), and Channel Island Audio DMC-1 streamer/DAC in a designed/dedicated listening room.

I live in northern Indiana, not Michigan, But my house is about 100 yards from the Michigan border. That's close enough to make me feel like a Michigander. So welcome from an almost Michigan resident.

Thanks for the welcome messages, especially from my fellow Michiganders.

I’m currently enjoying a pair of Tonian TL-D1 speakers, driven by a Bakoon-13R integrated amp. My source is a Lumin T2 network player/DAC with Sbooster power modification.

It’s my third go round with the TL-D1’s. They’re great speakers but my wife hates the appearance. I’m thinking about trying a pair of Omega’s, which may enhance my chances at matrimonial harmony. I’ve been a huge SET fan over the years, but am trying to wean myself from those lovely glowing bottles. Wish me luck on both fronts!
