Along with the new re-designed SST series, there was a quite difference in power filtering capacitance. The capacitance and number of capacitors has doubled.
I don't recall now but haven't the VDC also changed from 63v to 80v? The ESR stayed almost the same.
I wonder - was it something that the new transformers allowed on the SST's, or the ST could also benefit from such application?
