Hello from Colorado
« on: 18 Jun 2021, 10:32 pm »
Hey everyone, I'm Voxata from CO. I'm well established on HF and other forums. Just found out about this forum and wanted to give it a go!

I'm am avid headphone listener transitioned to 2ch nearfield. I've got lots of soldering experience and have built a few kit amps. I'd like to learn more about bias measurement and design however, my brain will likely explode. Thanks for having me!

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Well tube amp bias is a necessary evil, if possible dont use it in your project, I would suggest use Self Adjusting Bias as Decware do so well, it offer the best sound and long tube life, in the second place there is Manual Bias also a nice way to bias tubes, other types of bias interfere with the sound in a greater degree, the most complex Bias I gave seen is the PrimaLuna, being all this IMO and usefull to hi-fi use, to ham radios sound quality are less important.
