The Harbeth loudspeakers made semi-famous in
this thread are now for sale. Though I have four, it was always my intention to sell one pair and keep the other. I'll be letting the market decide which ones go and which ones stay!
While I wrote hundreds of words there, these are pretty famous speakers without any effort on my part, so I'll link a few review comments from the professional audio press:

https://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/harbeth-monitor-301-loudspeaker"Alan Shaw’s Harbeth Monitor 30.1, which has been released in time to celebrate the company’s thirty- fifth anniversary as a manufacturer of high-quality loudspeakers, is the best compact two-way speaker system I have ever heard, regardless of type, cost, or complexity... When it comes to the Monitor 30.1 there’s no sense using a lesser word: it’s simply ravishing in its warmth, richness, vividness, and beauty."

What HiFi?
https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/harbeth-monitor-302"Do listen to the Harbeth Monitor 30.2s, because you may well decide you prefer the sound of the Harbeth Monitor 30.1s"

I bought the 30.1s new-open-box in January of last year so they cost me much more than the C7s which were used (though both sets are in near-perfect condition). I've never handled them except with white cotton gloves so they remain as immaculate as when I received them.
These 30.1s are finished in the upgraded "Tiger Ebony" timber and it's an incredibly luxurious, exotic veneer; sure to please you and your significant other as well. It sports a smooth, satin sheen, in the middle between glossy and matte. With the upcharge these retailed for $6390.00
These are newer than the 40th Anniversary Edition, which fact may be confirmed by the serial numbers. Near as I can tell, this pair are among the last 30.1s crafted by Harbeth.

This price is even less than the Tontragër stands alone go for, and the C7s play music. And how they play music.
Sam Tellig of Stereophile states, “The Harbeth Compact 7ES-2 is one of the ten or so finest speakers I have encountered in more than two decades of reviewing.”
WHAT HiFi? says “These are superb speakers, managing to sound right with all types of music, and magical with vocals and naturally-recorded instruments. Add that to their easy driveability, and a star is born.”
These C7s are supplemented by premium (and ridiculously-expensive) Audience AU24 jumper cables (seen in photos) which of course may be removed if you care to bi-wire. (

These Harbeth loudspeakers invite--and facilitate--musical explorations more than any I've ever known. You're going to want to try all of your best material and equipment with them, and possibly get more. Can't be helped!
Lovingly crafted entirely by hand in Great Britain. I'll be including a fishing weight with each pair to enable safe and easy grille removal. I bought the weights for this express purpose. (Incidentally, Harbeth grilles are transparent to sound waves and nearly transparent to light so you'll notice the reflection of the badges and RADIAL drivers through the fabric, particularly on the 30.1s.)
If I'm unknown to you, please avail yourself of my extensive feedback on
AudioKarma as well as here at
AC and on the other major audio sites--AG, SHTV, USAM, etc--screen name always Archguy.
I have the original boxes and packing materials for both sets. PM me your zip code for a shipping quote.
Prices: $1495 for the C7s and $3395 for the 30.1s, plus shipping and any fees. I accept Zelle & PayPal. Note however that if you are in a foreign country or do not have an online track record I won't accept a reversible payment (G&S). That's just basic common sense. Discount offered for previous customers and for local pickup. Thanks for your interest.
