This is first time I am asking/starting a conversation in a forum about amps or any topic since I started planning my HT few weeks ago. So, I wanna start with some questions obviously, first being; how much wattage require for surround speakers except LCR? Some says that we should put more wattage than recommended for a speaker. Any thoughts?

This is a way to see the situation among other options, what set the wattage sent to a speaker is the volume control.

I never pay attention to a speaker's rated power, buy appropriate speakers and amplifier to fit the need.

Just read again your post and aware if one put excessive wattage in a speaker it can be damaged.
