Hi all

Just a simple two channel audiophile in DC. Recently revamped everything in my system, and now have a very simple chain: miniDSP SHD (preamp/streamer/dac/dsp) > NAD C298 (power amp) > KEF LS50 Meta standmounts.

Always looking for interesting conversation on how to optimize and improve, especially in room acoustics. Thanks!

Hi,

I'm a new member - listening in the bay area.  I'm using a Rega Planar 2, Oppo 105, Jolida JD 9 tube preamp and Jadis Orchestra Reference tube amp with Proac Response 1SC speakers and Emerald Physics CS 2.3 Mk ii in a tiny apartment - 12' x 25'.  Listen mostly to blues, folk, jazz, pop, rock and world on vinyl and CD about 50/50. Look forward to learning more from the group.

The first thing to improve sound reproduction is getting a good pair of loudspeakers.  Look for vendors with deep R&D and manufacturing resources.  Next get a decent room for listening.  The room should be reasonably sized and not square.  It should be well insulated.  Everything else is secondary.
