I don't mind clicking through, as long as the ad has a price (which I know is a rule and is well policed in my experience).

But it is a nice thing when it is there in the title.

Thought this seems an odd place to post this, given this IS the place for ads.

Anywhere as long as it's not eliminated after sale per rules.
People need to check their Ad's that they posted a price to begin with.

I don't care if the price is in the title since I'll click on it anyway if it's something I'm interested, even if it's marked SOLD

I will open any ad that I'm interested in. What chaps my sack is the blatant disregard for the stated requirements. Far too many ads don't put a location in them!  :x  A zip code will suffice even from a neighboring town is fine...just an idea of an approximate location is very helpful.

Amen!! Maybe you should have to have a location to place an ad? Like the ads that say local pick up ok, but we have absolutely no idea where local is.

My rant is sold items that are not updated in the original post and subject line.

Sometimes I look at older ads and love clicking on it, reading the original post for info, and then scrolling through 10 posts for possibly more info only to find it is sold.

I always get the impression when the price is buried somewhere at the bottom of the ad that the seller feels he may be asking too much or is uncomfortable stating his asking price up front. On the other hand, if the price is right there up front it communicates that the seller is confident that his asking price is fair. This is just my personal impression.

+1 or they just don't pay attention to other ads and put some thought into theirs.
For Sale only places have the page layout already and all you have to do is put in information.

Most of the stuff for sale here is several hundred dollars and up. If I’m seriously interested in an item, I’ll take the time to read the ad in whatever form it is in, however the seller chooses to present it.
There is a current ad where the seller mentions his location in the ad, and someone posts asking where the seller is located. Obvious that that potential buyer isn’t really a potential buyer at all. I see that stuff a lot which leads me to believe a lot of the “make the ad easier for me” is from people who just want to browse for fun, not to buy. Nothing wrong with that, I do it every day.

I agree with some of the other thoughts here. Just standardize the format if possible for the basic info that should be in any ad, whether selling or looking to buy. The most common error I see is the seller getting wrapped up in the description and then they forget to post an asking price. I get it. It happens. But if you provide fields simply for Price and Zip, that'd help A TON. From there the person placing the ad can be as creative as they want, but at least the basic info is right there, in a consistent place and format every time.
