This pair of Fritz Rev 5 SE speakers are amazing compact monitors with edge of the art ScanSpeak drivers, and Acoustic Reality series crossovers in beautiful rosewood veneered cabinets. They come with magnetically attached grills.
These retailed for $2400 and at that price are a fantastic bargain. The Illuminator tweeters were very pricey so Fritz has scaled back on the more current models (Rev 5 SER) to keep the retail price more affordable. I am the second owner, and have the original shipping box / packing.
Drivers are in perfect shape, and the book matched veneer on the cabinets is in excellent shape except for one slender scratch on the top of one speaker toward the back (hard to see except in just the right light... I tried to get a good shot of it in one photo). Each speaker weighs 19 pounds, so shipping (two speakers in one box) won't be cheap.
Have moved my hifi to a larger room and purchased larger (and more costly) speakers, so these are currently gathering dust. Here are some reviews of the non-SE version:
