a remote control version for a SET 120 or 400?

Hello Frank,

Have you ever thought of offering a remote volume control for these amps? Maybe vinyl enthusiasts can get by without a remote. But if you stream only from Tidal and Qobuz like I do, a remote is a must.

What would be involved in offering it and how, from a manufacturer’s point of view, would you gauge if there would be enough interest?

On our big power amps it would take a chassis retooling to offer remote control.

On both the SET 120 Control Amp and our big amplifiers there is no low voltage power supply available.  The remote requires regulated 5 Volt DC after the rectifiers to operate.  Our power amplifiers run at much higher voltage.  There is no place for the additional power transformer and low voltage regulated power supply to go.

New features don't just appear by magic, they require appropriate design, tooling, and production to make happen and this is only feasible if there is enough demand to justify the up front engineering and tooling cost and if the quantity predicted to sell with this feature will be large enough to pay for these costs.

Note that remote control volume and mute functions are now standard on all our new preamplifiers, and with even more remote functions on our CFR and SLR preamps.

Thanks for the clarification  :thumb: I’ll visit the website and review the descriptions for the various preamps.
