Decades, not years.  A refrigerator was good for 30 years, a washer for 20.  An oven?  If you're still got it, it works.

We’ve had our current GE frig for 11 years.  It’s working okay but the built in ice maker quit after 4 or 5 years because of a wiring design flaw.  The GE before, also with an ice maker, lasted 20 with repairs.  It’s as though they forgot how to design durable wire routings.
We just replaced our LG washer and dryer that lasted for 20 years with repairs I was able to do myself. We replaced with LG. I expect the new owners will continue to use them until the main control board dies which is no longer available.
Heating and air conditioning units are another story.  AC units no longer have a 15 to 20 year life span.  We’re planning to replace every 10 years.  I think this is due to higher coolant pressures require of newer refrigerants.

I asked why I have an Bosch refrigerator from 1995 that never broke, but the door rubber seal are old it's not sealing the door and I can't find it.
