Clearly you did not live in the States in the 80's. Big hair rock bands had followers that tried to emulate their favorite band.

Looking at the kitchen and the little boy.. it captured me in living in Brooklyn in the 1950's..

The “so you could go out to play” particularly resonates. I don’t think kids today say that.

We lived to go outside back then.. and no one had to worry about you being outside by
yourself or with a few buddies..
