Oh so true...
Dad walked into the house one fine Saturday morning after returning from a trip to town. He smiled and told us that he purchased some presents for us and that they were in the trunk of the car. Excited, we dashed out to the car, opened the trunk and to our dismay, the trunk only contained new shovels.
Then we heard dad say "Lads - were starting to dig the footings for the garage today."
My Dad's three saying's for success he told in the early seventies...
1. Find a pensionable job.
2. Pay the house off as soon as possible.
3. Buy the largest snow-thrower you can afford.
