So I just received a couple of our rare older pieces from a long term customer to resell for him.
They are a Super Pas Three preamp (complete AVA rebuild of a Dyna PAS-3 vacuum tube preamp) and an Ultimate 70 power amp (complete AVA rebuild of a Dyna ST-70 vacuum tube amplifier) we build in about 1990. They were overkill packed and look just about as nice as when we first shipped them.
Bench testing I discovered the power amp needed a few new tubes and the preamp a full new signal tube set. Otherwise both tested out like new after 30 years of use.
They are both in my reference system running now and the overall musicality is still really first class. No grain, grit, harshness at all (of course) and better bass response then I remembered. They still have that great vacuum tube sonic engagement and need a new caring home.
