Intro

I am UCLA graduate, and recently retired :popcorn: gold seller of 18 years, starting to assemble a modest desk-top audio listening system utilizing media streaming, and converted FLAC files. I have been studying reviews and recommendations for audiophile quality components that are used, and/or budget oriented

The ideal desktop system would be built around active monitors, either JBL 305 Mk2 (2-way, $300/pair) or Kali IN-5 (3-way with coaxial midrange/tweeter, $700/pair).  Add to that a streamer/DAC, see  https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=175139.0
