I am pondering over this.  I assume as a computer monitor (for Apple computer) it would work fine offering resolution and brightness equal to the current Apple monitors??

Then, for TV I assume I would only need a tuner card for my computer??

Sorry to sound a bit naive, but I am not a geek in these matters.  I am in the market for a flat screen monitor and this caught my eye.

I can't comment on brightness, and you will want to find consider what connections your graphics card has, but here are the resolution comparisons:

TV at 1080i = 1920x1080
Apple 20" Cinima  = 1680 x 1050
Apple 23" Cinima  = 1920 x 1200
Apple 30" Cinima  = 2560 x 1600

It appears that this has a built-in TV tuner, so all you would need to do is connect a cable from either an antenna, cable box, or satellite box.  Looks like a great deal if you need a new monitor that can do double duty as a TV.

I am not an Apple/Mac computer person, but it does say that it is compatible (MAC) in the manual.

And it does have the tuner, amp and speakers in the unit.

All you would need do is connect the Video out (Video Card) of your computer to the PC Video Connection, and the Audio (Sound Card) out to the PC Audio In, and you're good to go.

You can also connect a DVD player via Component Video Inputs.
