The Odyssey website says that the Lorelei dimensions are 45 x 8 x 15".

I'm assuming the 8 x 15 is the dimension of the bottom of the speaker.

Is that correct?

8"  Width

15" Depth

The bottom has a little bit more depth than the top of the speaker. There's a gradual increase in depth,  that runs down the leght of the speaker. So yes,  the bottom portion would be the deepest part at 15 inches.
