help needed installing magicmoose on macOS

Trying to install manicmoose firmware.

I am using macOS Sur

when  downloading from
http://vps96186.vps.ovh.ca/files/manicmoose/manic_moose_upgrade/firmware20170201.bin

I get this bin file. Do I unzip this or update from this directly?

That's a file that instructs a BDP running firmware prior to manic moose on how to install manic moose.  If your after the software see this document fr our customer support page.

Now completely updated to newest firmware, did the additional updates after original manicmoose, testing in Roon Ready mode as have lifetime license
