I am selling my Core Audio Design original MOD3 rack. I'm the original owner of this rack and purchased it directly from Arnold at Core several years ago. This rack is made of American black walnut and is in great condition. The shelves have been dadoed and internally filled with iron, lead, and granite for shielding/dampening. The underside of each shelf has an aluminum/mylar patch bonded to it, again for shielding purposes.
As you can see, my turntable left some imperfections over the years on the top shelf. However, all the shelves are interchangeable and reversible as well so you can re-orient the shelves any way you like. The shelves have some minor cracks in the wood which occurred within the first years of ownership and have not gotten worse. I tried my best to photograph this.
Actual dimensions are 23.5" W by 20.5" D by 28" H.
Shelf dimensions are 22" W by 19" D.
From bottle shelf to middle shelf is 11". From middle shelf to top shelf is 9".
These racks original sold for about $1275 from what I remember. Core has gone upscale and their comparable rack is now ~$2950. I have the original box, packing material, & accessories so I can ship, but local pickup near Mobile, Alabama would be greatly preferred. I will also include a set of floor glides.
