That old guy running the outside lane in the video doesn't look like he's doing too bad to hang in Masters too! ;)

I sent a little bit his way for you.  Good luck in Oregon!

Thank you.

I feel extremely blessed to still be able to run at this level. And super blessed to come out of the blocks with great young athletes.

The young man next to me is a receiver for a college football team. I can't recall where he goes to school.

After that run the trainer had us run a 100 meters. I got out of the blocks a little better and at the trash can (about 40 yards) he had less than a foot on me. I was trying a little too hard. And when I do that I get out of form. I get too upright. I realized it. So I dropped my head, leaned a little forward and let my arms go. That means let them swing out more in front of me. That opens my stride up. And I pulled past him and put a couple of feet on him. He couldn't make it up and I beat him to the 100 meter mark. The guys on the far left are super fast. They still had about three feet on me. And Bobo (inside lane) is just loafing. He is just running about 90% and getting in his reps. He can walk off and leave all of us at will.

So man did I let that young football player know that he let an old man out run him.  And he hated it. He wanted a rematch immediately.   Some of the rest of the guys and the trainer joined in on him a little too. So we ran another 40 yard pass next and he edged me out by about 6" or so. And I don't care. I loved every minute of it.

Thanks for organizing Danny.  A lot of athletes don't get the exposure they need to succeed.  Best of luck to Bobo!

Emphasis on the most important part!  I hope I can get my knees back in shape well enough to echo all of the above sometime soon.  Once you get your technique dialed in, those kids are going to be in for a world of trouble! :thumb:

Every now and then I get called out by some of the college kids that I play some soccer with. I put on my track shoes (light weight with spikes), took off from a three point stance, and crushed them off the line. They couldn't make up the gap.

Even funnier in slow motion:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLbv5mPQdJY

And thankfully the rest of the kids all have their cell phones out to capture the fun on camera.
