tubOlator comparison
Hi: I have thought that the tubOlator and C37 products look and may sound interesting. Both these products are primarily carbon based coatings. The whole structural resonance idea makes sense, after all it's what makes or breaks a violin. I would be interested if anyone who has a set of IC socketed IC's which have been tubOlator'ed or coated with C37 compare them with the same identical IC's which have been coated with Black Nail Polish. There are even Black polishes which have metal flake content. These are very cheap and your wife/girlfriend may give you some for the cause. Nail polish (Black) has a very high carbon content and while very hard and durable it must also be flexible so as not to crack. These are the exact qualities which make for a good damping material. If you try out this idea you can share your findings with the rest of the forum. Regards Moray James.
