I am interested in the Tekton line of speakers. I'm looking for any information as to how they sound because I've not heard them.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.

Welcome!  Tekton has a wide array of speaker models with very different design approaches.  It's hard to keep up with all of their offerings.  Some models look like they are derived from Zu (like the Lore) and others have tweeter clusters (that apparently act like a midrange) that I have never seen before (like the Moab).  It would be helpful if you were specific about which model you were interested in. There are a fair number of professional reviews of various models online.  Good luck!

I have a pair of the pendragons with upgraded internals. Really great sounding speakers with some killer midrange and great bass extension (2x rear ports).

My biggest mistake was buying them new as shipping these monsters is a HUGE part of the overall price: I estimate it costs tekton $250-300 of the $2k price tag to ship them. This also works against the buyer because in order to take advantage of the in home audition you pay for return shipping out of pocket....yikes.

If I had to do it over I would have found someone local that was going to sell a pair of tektons (any model), auditioned in their home and made a local buying decision.

I owned the Impact Monitors for a couple of years. I found them to be really transparent and dynamic. They reproduced exactly what they were fed.Any issues upstream have nowhere to hide.Electronics that lean towards the warm sweet side were a great match.

I've owned 4 different models from th mini Lore to the Pendragons.  I ordered a pair of Electron SE last year but Eric took like 3 months to build them and kept BSing me on the time frame which was disappointing as I was a way repeat customer and then a pair of Spatials landed at my door and I'm stoked!

The Pendragons are good, the DI's are great. Others are great such as Lore and mini Lore  if you have a small room. Tremendous value for the $$$, but I'd buy them used.
