Would this be considered for high current applications or is it designed more for source and preamp components?

Hi JakeJ -
It can be used for both. I originally purchased it to power the front-end of my system (streamer, tube preamp, etc) and then moved it into the listening room to power Parasound JC1 monoblocks, Linn Klimax monoblocks and, finally, a Hegel 30. It made a noticeable difference in both settings. I just lowered the price for a quick sale. Thanks.
