I have thoroughly enjoyed this amplifier. it got me hooked on tube amplification. Among the cleanest, clearest sounding amplifiers I've ever heard. I am replacing only with a significantly more expensive 300B amp that is better but not by much. The value proposition of this amp by Alan is off the charts.
Alan is very highly regarded for his impeccable build quality and pure, minimalist design. This amp has been checked out by a skilled tech. The tape on the knob on the back of the chassis is for the lowest noise position
I will include NOS TungSol USA 45 tubes (2), NOS Sylvania 6NS7 tubes (2 - $100 each), 6AX5 rectifier tube (1). The Sylvania 6NS7s are a significant sonic upgrade from the GE tubes included in my purchase originally.

Top of the line Tamura brand power transformer -- The Tamura power transformer in this amplifier is a 1960 vintage. It has a large heavy copper band (see last picture) shield around the windings to eliminate hum. It is one of the best power transformers ever made. If they were to reproduce a transformer of this quality today, the cost would be no less than 300.00. Many power transformers just meet the minimum amperage requirement so they get very hot. Not with this Tamura transformer it is a commercial-grade unit and can run all day and just get warm.
Superior 3-way speaker connector, that will not break or come loose.
Solid copper buss bar ground strap wire.
High voltage US Military-grade surplus Amphenol tube sockets, that will last forever. Not the ones from China that fall apart with normal use.
Hammond brand 2.5 volt filament transformer. Not Chinese transformers that are low quality.
