If you're looking at this ad, you're aware of what the amplifier is. Don Sachs is a well known analog amplifier / preamplifier designer and manufacturer, who sells products that punch way above their price point. His waitlist hovers around 4-months to get one of his pieces of gear, and they hardly ever come up on the used market.
This KT88 amplifier is his latest specification and absolutely trounces the competition. I thought this was going to be my "forever" amplifier, but I changed directions as I found a Wells Audio Innamorata v2 for an unbeatable price, and the Wells Audio just barely edged out the Kootenay for my setup. I considered keeping this amplifier around because it's such an amazing example of a powerful, analog amplifier that's dimensional, involving, and articulate – but I'd like to upgrade my DAC so I'm making the tough decision to part with the amplifier.
The amplifier is being listed for $3,150 not including PayPal fees nor shipping. I'm happy to accept non-fee based payment options (Venmo, Friends and Family, Apple Pay Cash, Zelle) to help reduce costs.
