Hello All.  Found this site while searching for information about possible replacements for my existing A/V receiver.  I am looking for really nice sound & have experience with older NAD gear.  I am at a stage in life where I can return to interests & passions held before marriage & kids.  Looks like this site & the collective knowledge should be helpful.  Thank you to the creators & moderators for hosting such a service.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome!

As you're probably aware, digital has changed from spinning CD's to streaming CD quality and lower quality internet radio files.  Loudspeakers have advanced to home friendly active designs with controlled directivity wave guides.  No longer a need for receivers, just plug in a streamer/DAC to active loudspeakers controlled from your laptop, tablet, and/or smart phone and be done.
