I'm a long time audiophile in Australia and fortunately live in the most beautiful and moderate rural part of this country, (and can still afford it (for the present)).
I have a fairly modest (older) system which has mostly been bought used.
I am just about to build a pair of GR Research "X Statik's" to replace my S55 Yamaha's.
I recently bought my VPI turntable out of storage, and am looking at replacing my Amber 50B with the Tortuga Audio’s LDR3.V3 Passive Preamp after the tour feedback and refinements are in.
In the mean-time I am looking for a suitable phono stage, (preferably a punchy/smooth maybe tube kit), with detailed mids/highs.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I can't search Tortuga thread yet.
Nice to be part of the forum as I've read a bunch here for many years, it's getting huge these days!
