Mmmmm...well the recording style is an 'artistic choice' thing. It's the usual over-produced, very processed, hyped sound that seems to be popular in certain genres of music these days.
It's also been heavily peak-limited as you can see in the tell-tale waveform. The massive compression is pushing every little sound up as loud as possible so otherwise subtle low bass is being shoved in your face. The bass guitar tone is very mellow - not a lot of midrange in it so I could definitely see how that is exciting your room acoustics.
What band is that BTW? Do they have a drummer listed? Is his name "Roland"?
