Yes, you can see the small remote sitting on top of the user manual in a couple of the photos. The Freya/Freya+ have a unique relay-switched stepped attenuator with discrete thin-film resistors. The idea, I imagine, is to give you the advantages of a stepped-ladder resistor attenuator but still allow it to be motorized. The servos make a click-clacking noise when adjusting the volume. Some people think it's cool. I found it a little off-putting at first, but got used to it pretty quickly. It is kind of handy to know for sure that your remote input was registered.
Also note, for anybody who isn't familiar with the Freya, it has both balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs, and can be switched between using the tube stage, just a differential buffer, or pure passive mode. Pretty much everything you could want besides a phono stage.
