That is almost worth taking a trip to SoCal.

I also noticed that there is a dealer on 'gon offering the Bix Turntable now.

I like that BIX table. There have not been enough comments on it.
There were some problems in the beginning with the bearing but I imagine that has been taken care of.

what's so special about this TT? other than the price...

For $1200 getting the rewired SME IV plus the trough is a good deal.

Getting the Symphonic Line TT plus the cartridge is a bonus.

Having seen Klaus's turn table and knowing how overbuilt all the Symphonic Line equipment is I have no doubt this is a hell of a good deal.
