Simple inexpensive remote for the B60R
« on: 8 Sep 2020, 12:31 am »
I came across a remote for my B60R that I prefer over the Logitech Harmony, and thought I would share.  This remote has 6 buttons, so still twice as many as you need, but not nearly the number of unnecessary buttons you get when using the Logitech to control the B60R.  The simple design is actually an excellent fit for the B60R. I use the bottom three buttons for the B60R and the power button to toggle through the inputs of my DAC.

It's a learning remote, not programmable, so you need a working remote to train this thing.  In my case, I don't have a Bryston remote, so I used used the Logitech to get the Bryston codes and then to teach them to this remote. The Logitech is now in storage.

This remote will set you back about as much as a coffee and bagel. It took about 4-5 weeks to get here.  There are several variations of this remote. Here is a link to it on Aliexpress.
