I had that seller ship it to Bryston in Peterborough, Ontario to lower the gain on the XLR preamp output by 12db. This was so that XLR output to an external power amp will have sufficient volume range. The unit worked great as a 2 channel preamp after this mod (by Bryston themselves). I have the email correspondence with the Canadian Bryston tech to show the work that was done.
I also have the original sales receipt that will be emailed to the buyer of this unit. It was originally purchased on 11/22/2017. That means the warranty is valid for 20 years from this date and all you would need to provide Bryston is the sales receipt.
The shipping box is a brand new $60 BHA-1 box from Bryston. I am adding some extra pennies to the price ($1200) of my unit because of the gain reduction mod on the preamp XLR out. I tested the preamp function with my Benchmark AHB2 amp and the volume worked great with a lot of range.
I am selling to fund the purchase of some speakers.
