Amplifier hum/buzz
« on: 18 Aug 2020, 02:04 pm »
James,

Is it normal to hear or have some (7BST) amplifier buzz when turned on. Not really loud, but noticeable. If I turn off the amp it stops, so I know its coming from this particular one. Dedicated 20 amp service to the amps. All plugged into the same outlet and the runs are on the same phase from the breaker box. I'll do a bit more troubleshooting in the meantime. Your thoughts??

7BST x 2 and Genesis servo amp plugged into the quad receptacles.

Thanks,

MAK

Hi

Usually mechanical hum is caused by the transformer - sometimes just the transformer mounts have to be tightened.
