I have a mint set pair of Spendor SP-1's in great condition for sale.  They are cosmetically and acoustically darn near perfect.  The speakers are teak veneer with black cloth grills.  They also come with a set of black 14" tall hardwood stands that get the drivers at just the right height.  Pictures to follow.  Speakers and stands are offered for $1200.00 plus shipping from St. Louis, MO.

A good friend has these and they are awesome.  Sounds great with tube or SS.  Only if you lived on Honolulu.

I found the shipping boxes.  I will ship to HI if you pick up the freight.  These are becoming as rare as Hen's teeth and these are in great shape. 

You are right - they sound awesome on both my First Watt J2 and my Dynaco / Radial Engr. Stereo 70 Mk. 3 (wonderful underrated amp - replaces the 7199 pentode with three triodes.)  The SP-1's can play twice as loud as the BC-1's with no loss of the BC-1's magic.
