My first exposure to good sound in music was in a couple recording studios in the early 1980's, where the playback of what we had just sung was worlds away from anything I'd heard at home or at pop/rock concerts. My second exposure was about the same time where the commons room at our small college had been donated some legendary Bose 901's and a matching amp and TT, which played massed orchestra with power and clarity like I'd never heard in a home.
Seven years later I heard Magnepan 1.6 driven and was just about to buy that when some Von Schweikert VR4's caught my attention and I bit. I still have the amplifiers purchased back then use them daily, though the VR4's were just too big for the rooms I've lived in for the last 15 years.
I listen to music every day for focused enjoyment and de-stressing and am often tweaking this or that... and then half the time changing it back (LOL). It's enjoyable to participate in a community that loves music and good reproduction when they are respectful of each other, which is not a given in forums these days, though I don't spend a lot of time on the discussion boards.

Bruce
