Hi all: Introducing myself - my name is Joe Mason. I am a Director of Film and Video, and a long-time fan of all things audio. I owned many pieces of classic 70's stereo gear including Marantz, JBL, Pioneer, SAE, NIKKO, Nakamichi, TEAC, and more. I got into radio as a teenager, and used Gates boards, and classic broadcast Shure mics, as well as AKGs, Sennheisers, and RE-20's. As I evolved to owning a studio, we moved to Digidesign, then ProTools. Currently we use ProTools, Neumann U87ai mic, an Apogee A/D, and various mic-pre's. My home stereo rig consists of an ever revolving set of speakers (currently Magnepan LRS, but often JBL 4312s) and a beast of an Adcom 5-channel amp. Looking forward to sharing tips and reviews. Thanks.
